The sun was brilliant this morning; I loved the light and the landscape. It wakes me up and inspires me.
Today is a quiet day, reading, making soup, blogging, and preparing for my landmark meeting tomorrow to see if a new orthotic brace can get me walking up hills again.
I am nervous and psyched, and hopeful. Maria is coming with me.
We’re off to the farmer’s market this morning and then home to rest. We both are going well, but we need to take it easy.
I’m not visiting the horse today. I’ve got a new supply of apples.
Come and share the beautiful morning with me.
The morning light was incredible, and yes, I ran outside naked; there was no time to waste.
Fate looks ferocious and business-like. She is neither. She isn’t like the other children. She isn’t helpful either, but we love her. She is the perfect dog for Maria and for me too.
Maria is feeling better. There was no keeping her in bed this morning.
Our window sills are works of art. They change every day. We have a regular window curator who also is an artist.
Your idea of stepping outside first thing, for a healthy manageable portion of early light and cold air, before getting dressed — that’s a time-honored idea. You are really on to something. It called to mind Wim Hof and his cold air / cold water therapy. Stepping outside here would mean a balcony in view of a hundred neighbors. But you inspired me to start taking a cold bath every morning. It works really well. Thanks!
Wow, you have more courage than I do…it does work for me tho..
