The Imperious Hens were so indignant about the bitter cold last week that they still haven’t come out of their roost. They stick their heads out from time to time all day and then back away from the steps. They will want no part of the frozen ground.

This is fitting for our Imperious Hens, what’s the harm?

Maria brings them fresh and choice gourmet food leftovers at least once a day and checks to make sure their electric water bucket is full of water and warm.
