I had a stomach infection on Friday and most of Saturday, and I was lying down for most of that bitterly cold day.
Many of our neighbors lost power, but we didn’t. I’m grateful for that, although I keep forgetting we have a generator sitting in the barn. We’d be fine.
I complained that I couldn’t get up or go out to take pictures, other than the one I ran out and took in my nightshirt before quickly retreating.
As I dozed in and out, I looked right across the room, just a few feet away, at the afternoon sun lighting up our fish tank and its new colorful, manufactured purple plant. I thought at first that I was dreaming.
The light shining through the tank was beautiful and suitable under my nose. I’m glad I took the picture without even getting up off my butt.
Beauty is everywhere; I must keep learning to open my eyes to it.
