I want to thank the Army of the Good for the support you’ve given me in brightening the lives of the Mansion residents by getting new tablecloths, napkins, and silk centerpieces. I just got a call from the periodontist; there’s an opening tomorrow afternoon in Saratoga, I’ll be there.)
Today, I got an SOS call – I get one every six months or so – asking for help in getting body wash, shampoo, and hair conditioner (for men and women); the body wash, I was told, is much needed.
Maria and I rushed over to the Dollar Store and filled a basket with body wash and shampoo, etc., for half the price of the big pharmacies. The Mansion is waking me up to the value of the Dollar Stores; we have one just outside of town.
The Navy Tables arrived last week, the 12 dining room table centerpieces came this week, and the new Navy Blue napkins are in the wash. The centerpieces look great. We also got some light bean bags and other indoor games.
Aide Kelly Patrick loaded up a whole shelf with shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. Thank you for your help; you have made these people’s lives brighter, more comfortable, and better.
If you wish to support the Mansion work, you can do so by donating via Paypal, [email protected] or Venmo, Jon-Katz@Jon-Katz-13, or by check, Jon Katz, Mansion Fund, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816. And thanks.
The new tablecloths. Thank you.
The new napkins. The residents spent a significant amount of time in the dining room. They are very excited about the new tablecloths, etc.
When I first saw the handful of body soap I read the brand as “Olaf” and thought that was funny ripoff of “Olay” even tho I knew you said you bought name brands. Laughed at myself again when I realized they were “Dial”
Thanks for all you do for the lovely people at the Mansion.
I love the colors of the tablecloths and napkins, but then blue is my favorite color!
