I’ve always loved the winter pasture, and it is beautiful in space and sometimes chilling way. It is nowhere near as gentle as the summer light and summer flowers. but it has dignity and beauty all of its own. The real winter we know so well up here is beginning to rear up and remind us of its power and glory.
I took a lot of photos. These five stuck with me, and I want to share them with you.
The woods are a beautiful and eerily quiet place to walk when it snows. If there are goats in the woods, they come out in the snow.
Zinnia might have been a polar bear in another life. It is never too cold for her, there is no such thing as too much snow.
The sheep adapt, no snow will stop them from eating hay.
Today, the sky breaks open a bit.
Beautiful winter photos and precious Zinnia. Love them
wonderful winter photos, especially the sheep and especially the snow moving in the trees. new nickname for Zinnia: polar lab
I love the first photo of the snow and trees – looks like the snow is dancing in front of the tree curtain. For a FL gal it is a treat to see these photos (and not experience it).
Many thanks.
