The harsh and rainy storm afflicting the West Coast arrived here last night and today. Before climate change, this would have been a whopper of a snowstorm, but this winter feels more and more like New Jersey and less and less like upstate New York.

We’re heading out to go to a music concert at our local brewery tonight, if the ice holds off for a bit. It’s getting cold tonight after the rain.

We appreciate our wood stove very much, we have two stoves and they pretty much warm up the hole house unless it’s way below zero, which it isn’t often here these days.

I tried to capture some of what it feels like in this gloomy and rainy day. Come and see.
