Like most small upstate New York restaurants, we have a Chinese restaurant on Main Street.
We go there once in a while, but not often.
The restaurant has been here for years and has a loyal following, and the staff comes and goes.
At night, it stands out on Main Street, and it has an iconic feel to it. At night, it’s one of my favorite picture subjects. A part of me wants to be a street photographer, perhaps I am..
I love this photo of the thriving local business at street level, and a cozy apartment home with its Christmas tree and glowing holiday lights above — the way town life used to be in so many places, and appears to be reviving in some. What an interesting facade on this old building! This could make a wonderful holiday card, it captures the peaceful celebration of a winter holiday evening.
