When I write, Zinnia is usually lying behind me or on the floor in front of me. I went out of the room, and when I came in, her head was sticking out right in front of my computer. She’s my writing pal and companion. I just said “photo shoot,” and she didn’t move.
I am so fortunate to have a dog like this, and I appreciate it. I said hello to Red this morning when I walked over to his grave. I think of Red often, but I would rather love a dog than mourn a dog.
Nice large paper holder beside your computer. Do you know where you got it? Id like one.
Ditto Jon. I think about our chocolate lab Coke often, she was a wonderful companion, and now I am fortunate to have my Corina girl who is a healer Pyrenees mix to love. I truly believe we get the dog we need if we are open to it.
Completely agree!
I always love photos of your *office*! So much going on there in the room in general………..light, color, textures, muses….memories, photos…….. *implements*…………. it is a hive and hub of your life and the photos do it justice. What a wonderful place to spend time in……….. always makes me smile to think of you writing in that very creative space

Your desk looks just like mine Jon!!! Messy….I don’t know which of us has more stickies hanging from the bottom of our computers. . I am sure you are like me though, in that, you know where everything is….Two dogs here, one under my desk and one close by…..Good life! Happy New Year to you and Maria……Blessings.
We live in a different time universe you’re up during the day while I’m asleep. My “day” begins while you’re winding your day down. (When I have medical appointments, which have become numerous, my awake time is adjusted.)
Around 9pm, your blog, Bedlam Farm appears on my IPhone. Every “evening”. I look forward to reading it. It rarely disappoints (only when you get very cranky with a reader, but who’s perfect.) It’s your blog and you write what you know, believe and feel. I love that!!
What’s bugs me is all the flower pictures. I just have to comment.
One person’s love is my “no not again” . . Jon, show your pictures of clouds, hens, donkeys dogs, friends, family, students, the school, the Manor, Maria’s art, the barn, the porch, the fish tank, rooms inside your house, your artwork and art objects. The picture of your office and desk is fascinating.
It’s Winter in your world. Let us enjoy it. Loved the bird feeder, the snowy path, the sky and tree silhouette. You take great Winter pictures!!
I realize that winter can be scary and hair raising. We have had some of that here in the NW too. At 87 yrs., falling down on the ice and snow scares the bejabbers out of me. But it is beautiful.
Fascinating seeing where you write.
Speaking of your writing, it’s for another day.
I am a big fan!!!
