Maria went out walking with Fate and Zinnia this afternoon, the ice is melting, and they walked into our woods in the back.
She was surprised to come across a giant pine tree limb that had been blown off the tree during the storms last week. She looked inside and found that it was a natural, comfortable, and almost mystical cave.
The dogs came in to explore it and sat with her for a while. She wants to go back tomorrow and spend some time sitting and meditating in her cave. She was delighted to have found it.
I want to come also, as soon as more of the ice melts. You can read her account of the Pine Cave here.

Thanks for sharing the mystical cave. It shocked me almost as much as seeing the photo of the elephant that you adopted. For a second when I saw the elephant I thought how is that elephant going to survive in upstate New York? I appreciate your surprising and fresh images.
