I’ve been driving by this old farmhouse and barn for several years, and in the past year, I noticed it had been purchased and was being re-imagined as a home.
This is a beautiful thing to see, and it makes sense. Old farm structures have great character and history and feeling to them. The people who did this in Vermont did a great and tasteful job.
I know I’m looking at old farm buildings, and I also know I’m looking at a loved and occupied new home. The wheel keeps turning. Every old barn restored is a small miracle.
Interesting chimney on the blue building. I’ve never seen one with an arch like that. Maybe more common in New England?
