I decided to just go ahead and do it, to ask Maria to take a video of me singing a Merry Christmas song.
I have no illusions about my singing or musical skills, but I am making progress, and I believe that if I ask people for permission to take their pictures, I can’t very well turn down the offer myself.
The Ukulele is definitely teaching me how to be humble.
I am slowly but steadily getting the hang of it. Merry Christmas to you all in song, something new for me, and I am sure, for you.

BTW, I sent you a tshirt with with a Winnie the Pooh bear playing a ukelele with the title of the Hawaiian Christmas song, “Mele Kalikimaka” written on the front. Did you ever get it or did you think it was clothing meant for the Mansion or refugee kids? It was from the Life Is Good company and was sent to your P.O. Box. I thought it was a fun gift for you!

Loved this! I’m up early the day after Christmas sipping coffee in the company of two dogs. Ukuleles are such fun and wonderful to listen to. Like a warm handshake, they make people smile. Thank you for sharing your life stories and video with us!
