The Imperious Hens easily transition from summer bugs to fall and winter bird seeds.
They have moved their headquarters to a spot just below the bird feeder outside of Maria’s Studio, where they can be found most of the morning.
They rest for a while in the afternoon and head out into the pasture, looking for seeds and worms. The birds are not afraid of them, they exist happily alongside one another, and the seeds rain down all day.
I love the sunlight on the hay. I also thank you for the flower photos due to the cold, gray rainy skies here in NC. I always enjoy the imperious hens. I like your videos of Maria delivering morning hay and greeting each sheep s as bd hen by name. You make a great couple.
