Two weeks ago, I tracked down some birch wood for Sue Silverstein and the Bishop Gibbons art program. I didn’t know what she wanted it for. Sue hates to ask for anything, especially if it costs money, but I managed to figure out what she wanted and tracked down some birch logs.
This morning, she sent me a photo of the birch at work – the base of a Bishop Gibbons Christmas tree now under construction. Doing good feels good; it is so much better than arguing about what good is.
Sue Silverstein is a magician all day; she turns chaff into gold.
I’m off to Saratoga this morning to see a doctor about a brace for my leg. More later.
Man oh man. If someone asked me if I could only talk to one person, who would it be? I pick Sue Silverstein. As a retired public school art teacher she’s the one. How lucky and blessed are those around her. I wish my children had the opportunity to be stimulated by her.
She is amazing..
I meant that I am a retired art teacher and I would love to pick her brain! Let’s hope she doesn’t retire any time soon..
