It’s not my farmhouse, of course, but it is the most beautiful I’ve seen as I drive around my county. It’s not far from where Maria and I live, but we drove up there this afternoon to breathe the clean, warm air and soak in the beauty all around us.
I haven’t seen every farmhouse in the country, but I’ve seen a lot. And none compare to this beautiful hill and those red barns and white house. Photographers and artists often return to the subjects they love again and again. I never tire of taking a picture of this one.
It’s just a few miles away.

My cousin (first, twice removed) Vincent O’Donnell is the eponymous former farmer on O’Donnell Hill Rd. Family lore has it that he taught the monks of New Skete how to butcher.
