Our dogs are patient, loving, and accepting. Whatever we are doing, they want to be there.
And they are willing to wait patiently and quietly. They heard Maria talking about taking a walk, and they were focused and locked into us as we filled the animal’s water tank.
Dogs like this are up for anything, anytime. I loved the clothes on the clothesline flapping in the wind. It is a beautiful day here in Bedlam; I got sick yesterday – wicked head cold – so my Willa Cather wife put me into a lockdown for the day.
She laid down the law; I’m not man enough to challenge it.
Fortunately, we had a ride around before the word came down, and I got in a photo or two. It’s just a head cold, and I’m coughing and sneezing. I have the feeling I’ll be fine by tomorrow.
This, too, is going around.
I’d say you are man enough to know good advice when you get it and vulnerable enough to take it.
I would have written “…smart enough to take it.”
I love the fresh smell of clothes and sheets dried on a clothesline.
