Fanny set the tone for me this morning. Peaceable and at ease.
Our peaceable week was a good idea. We slowed down, read more, talked a lot, and slept a bit later. The rest of the week is devoted to quiet, peacefulness and gratitude.
We are spending the holiday with our natural family know – one another, the dogs, the donkeys, the sheep, and even the barn cats, who spent last night in their heated cat house in the basement, which they dearly love as they age.
Maria is kicking them out today. I’m going to visit with the donkeys, talk to my Wednesday Zoom group, finish a mystery, start the new Jon Beachem book about Abraham Lincoln and his search for morality and hang out with Maria.
I give thanks for Maria every day.
No travel and no news today (I checked it this morning, how sad). I plan to practice my Ukulele and take another shot at a watercolor if it stays warm. I wish all of you a momentous day and a meaningful holiday. I hope you peace and connection and love.
I’ll blog every day, including tomorrow, and hopefully, share some photos. I like the Walk-A-Bout idea.
Tomorrow morning, Maria and I will visit the Mansion to hang out a bit with the residents who have no family to go to. Small acts of great kindness are healthy and uplifting and enrich my holiday spirit.
I’ll skip Black Friday.
I’m thankful for your blog which directs folks in the right direction as far as living life the best way is concerned. Hope you, Maria, the dogs, the donkeys and sheep and chickens have a most blessed day; and thank you for all you do to make this world a better place.
Thanks, Kaaren, that is a beautiful note it means a great deal to me, and I appreciate it. I hope you have a happy holiday..
Your photography fulfills my need to be part of nature including the animals and my deep longing to see creative, original art. I’m 80 years old and I get to have this brought into my own home thanks to your photography. Today’s photo rings my chimes. Yay!!
Connie, I’m honored to be brightening your day…I love the phrase “ringing my chimes”…thanks
