One thing the Leica does that no camera of mine has ever done so well is take what I know all a “soft” photograph.
I love this photo. I call it “Soft Mist,” and I’d love to hang it on the wall one day because it is so comforting, soothing, and beautiful. At first, I didn’t even notice the mist hanging over the hills miles away.
It was getting dark, and I had to fuss around with the settings to capture the hills in the back and the mist hanging over them.
I love my Iphone camera but
In the right light at the right exposure, the Leica 2 paints pictures. It’s a lovely experience when the camera seems to see what you see and capture the image you want.
I love my Iphone 13 camera, but it is often very little, and Leica’s glass can soften and deepen things in a very particular way.
The most beautiful things are always right in front of me.
Can you repost your fawning blog on Elon Musk ‘s biography?

You share bragging traits….

Though that is a great photo.
James, I didn’t know you cared so much, and thanks for following my blog so closely. Although you seem to have a love/hate thing going, I appreciate it. I don’t need to reprint the piece; it’s available to you or anyone else by going to my search feature at the top of every journal page. I would be very happy if people went and read it; thank you for the plug.
I don’t regret a word of my “fawning” Musk piece; it was actually a book review, not a profile; the biography blew me away and helped me to understand what is happening now; I think it was pretty prescient and very honest work (the book, that is. I highly recommend it, it’s a terrific and timely book.)
For better or worse, Musk is unique: exciting, crazy, dangerous, and, so far, frighteningly successful.
I can’t stop reading about the Twitter drama. Will he save Twitter or blow it all to Hell?
Thanks also for your good words about my photo.
And I am humbled by your comparing me to Elon Musk; that is a first, and I suspect, the last time anyone will ever do that.
Life is full of crisis and mystery.
Stay tuned; the fun has just begun. jon
It *is* soft, soothing and beautiful, Jon. Thank you! I so welcome your photos every single day………….for many many years now…..and you never disappoint.
Many blessings and loving times to you and Maria this week. You are both a very important part of my life and I thank you for that every single day

Thanks, Susan. I really love photography, and once in a while, I stumble upon a really good one. I never thought anything of that photo until I saw it on the computer and felt its softness of it. It opens up a whole new channel for me. I appreciate the good words.
