Autumn reappeared today after days of warmth, rain, and climate confusion. It was a beautiful autumn day with light shining through the clouds and disappearing again. Maria and I went out for breakfast and came home and made soup and cornbread together.
I went to Beverly Carroll’s consignment store to get necklaces and warm scarves ($2 apiece) for the people in my Meditation Class, whom I’ll see on Tuesday.
There were some lovely pictures to change as the clouds moved overhead and the sun peeped in and out. Come and see.
Tonight, we’re going to a German restaurant not too far away to have dinner with some new friends. The food scene around her has become international.
Sheep count. Every day Maria counts the sheep and ensures they are all there. They are.
As dusk approached, our sky put on a beautiful show, and so did Fate, pretending she was herding sheep who had gathered voluntarily around the feeder. She knows how to look at the part and loves every second.
An Amish cart trotted by around 4 p.m.; it is always a touching and lovely thing to see, a great addition to our landscape.
The Imperious Hens got their daily feeding of mealworms, one of their favorite and most nourishing snacks.
thank you for these beautiful photos —
I am glad Maria is better….
take care.

“Autumn in New York” is a great song by George Duke. Your photos go well with it.
Beautiful pic, Jon – that sky!
