Like an old captain of the Royal Navy, I make it a point to know where the sun is at any given moment.
Light is the photographer’s nourishment, fuel, and inspiration, all rolled into one.
I take photos in the early morning and mid to late afternoon when the sun and the light are both light and indirect.
The light led me to three soul photos this afternoon, and I’m putting them together here. I think they speak for themselves, as many images do.
Come and see. I had a lovely day today, excellent Dog Support results, great foot doctor results, etc. More later.

Beautiful! Yes, soulful!
I lean towards the light like a tree.
I’m so glad for you with the success of your dog support. But I’m sorry to say that I can’t find a reason to seek help for Blaze, my Havanese. She is 11 years old, and a Grand Champion from her years as a show dog. I’ve been lucky enough to have her for 2 1/2 years, and her good behavior is still holding! But if something comes up, I’ll be adding myself to your list! Keep up the good work!
Don’t be sorry about that, Susie, that is very good news to me…I doubt you’ll need me, and that is a good thing. Congratulations..
