The people who study such things say that the color yellow brightens the spirit and lifts the soul. I can’t speak for anyone else, but this is true of me. I think yellow and red are my two favorite colors. I imagine everyone has their own. Feel free to share yours.
Like flowers, the leaves can teach us how to say goodbye.
My 2 favorites are 1. Yellow and 2. Green. Both colors make me smile inside.
My favorites are purple and teal…but I do love seeing fall foliage when it comes!
Jon,
Thanks you for all the lovely pictures you have shared of the flowers, plants and leaves. It’s been a pleasure accompanying you on your journey learning about gardening and photography.
Looking forward to more of your nature photos.
Thank you for another beautiful photo! The peach/fuschia/violet/brown colors at the bottom are amazing, and create such a warm and inviting base for the yellow leaves saying goodbye. Going out in a blaze of glory, our steadfast friends, the trees.
My favorite color is blue, the incredible oxygen colors of the oceans of air and water that surround, cradle, and define this wondrous planet, our home. On some color wheels, yellow is the complimentary color to blue. Blue is cool, serene, soothing and calming, inviting you to enter. Yellow is warm, glowing, radiant. Yellow extends its warmth outwards and reaches you where you are. Our sky is blue, our sun is yellow. Looking at the blue sky feels to me like an invitation to infinity, with the golden light and warmth of the sun, the motion of the molecules, that which illuminates it all, the doorway in the sky through which the mysterious spirit of life pours out and blesses everything around it.
