We continue to appreciate the small food revolution in our town and country. Today, some friends came over for lunch – they have been through a rough time, and we wanted to give them a lift.
Before lunch, Maria and I went to A Little Paris on a highway in Greenwich, about 20 minutes from us, and we brought home regular and savory crepes for dessert.
It still surprises me to see that little Eiffel Tower hovering over the little white cart not too far from pumpkin stands, farm supply and hardware stores.
We got there just in time; a line began forming right after we arrived.
Bob and Connie have done what many thought impossible – making crepes increasingly popular in eggs and bacon and burgers town.
Our friends were surprised and delighted.
Bob, poor man, is now also my ukelele teacher, and I see him every Tuesday. He’s still hopeful. I’m determined.
A Little Paris will shut down for the winter in a couple of weeks.
We will miss them and those crepes. But the food revolution continues. There are more things to discover. Tomorrow we’re setting out to try the new Laotian restaurant just a few minutes away.
Great food is coming our way.
I like the Leaning Tower of Eiffel.
