I am learning that people can sign up for my Zoom meeting anytime; some have already signed up for tomorrow, but I don’t know how many.
The Zoom meeting is an opportunity for some of you to talk with me and for me to listen to you.
I find that even though I use e-mail, texts, Facebook, and blog posts to communicate with my readers, I am hungry to see their faces and hear their voices, and some are hungry to meet me face-to-face.
Digital communications are revolutionary, but it will never be natural for me, and I find it lends itself to miscommunication and misunderstanding, on my side and sometimes on yours.
Please feel free to bring a question or two or any topics you’d like to discuss with me.
Of course, this being America, the project designed to avoid arguments had one instantly. Many people were pissed off that my time wasn’t good for them. They wanted me to choose another time. I can’t right now. I said I wouldn’t discuss it further, and that argument stopped, at least for now.
The Zoom will begin at 10 a.m. EDST and end close to 11 a.m. And yes, I know this is tough on Westerners who don’t like to be up and thinking at 7 am. your time. Right now, this is the only time that works for me.
How to join Zoom Meeting. Just click on this link below to ask to enter the meeting. if you need the ID or passcode, it’s right down below. The last meeting was great, we identified and fixed some tech problems, and Andrew Koehler, my friend and tech whiz, will be at the meeting when it starts to help us make sure everything is working.
After that, I’m on my own, although I hope Andrew will join us for the conversations when he can or when I freak out and pay him to join.
Maria may also join us for a while.

Passcode: 712821
Click on the link to join, and I will admit people starting at 9:50. Please be patient if I don’t get to you immediately. I think we have the sound working. At 10 a.m., I will ask everyone to introduce themselves and then ask for questions or thoughts, or ideas.
I won’t permit cross arguments or any arguments, but civil disagreement is fine.
The two flowers of the day above are a newly opened begonia (I love the colors) and a baby Mum. I don’t really like mums; they are too round for me, but I seem to have one in my garden bed, and the new baby is quite striking.
I’m limiting the Zoom meetings to between six and seven to start and for a while. We’ll see what happens. Last week was promising, but I’m not sure if this will work or not. I hope it does; I loved it last week.
Thanks for letting me in – It’s amazing to get the real you unimpeded by internetish filters! I found I was flagging (sicker than I thought), so I bowed out about half way through. The zoom call idea is really great and wonderfully engaging! Thank you for letting me see the love and comradarie. Wonderful to see the friendship, cheer and neighborliness.
Thanks Nancy, I didn’t get to see your face, but I did notice you. Please come back anytime, I’ll be sure to let you in. THe sessions are quite wonderful.jon
The first photo made me think of Georgia O’Keeffe. I have saved several of your flower photos and placed them on my devices’ screens. Thank you.
Thank you Valerie, that is wonderful praise and I appreciate it..
