Iconic Fate. There Is Something Special About The Way She Rests

by Jon Katz

I’m learning to trust my own instincts. I always felt something iconic about how Fate rests, and the response I’m getting to these photos of her at rest confirms my feelings. People find them touching and evocative in ways I  only partly understand.

I never used to trust my instincts; I never thought of myself as an artist. I still tighten at the word, but my photography is drawing it out of me. My instinct is working there, also. Thank you, Fate, for being an Iconic Sleeper.

The more I trust my instincts, the better the images are.

  1. Dogs are so real. The world would be a better place if humans were more like dogs. I love watching my dogs sleep, they choose a spot, a bed, and then proceed to comfortably fall asleep. AND, unlike we foolish humans sleep when they are tired, rather that consuming large amounts of caffeine to stay awake. Humans need to be real like dogs.

Magic, my hearing impaired Sheltie has not had any more seizures, thankfully. Fish oil is a miracle for some dogs.

Received word that there is another rescue coming in October. A year old, bi-blue, male, who grew too big for show ring standards. Can’t wait to meet him. I’m naming him Piper.

Love this blog, keep up the great work.
