I’ve got a full week ahead of me. I have some lingering Covid symptoms – mostly fatigue, congestion, and coughing. For most of the day, I’m fine. I still have some taste problems, but that is coming back, also.
I need to rest in the afternoons, and then I’m usually strong in the evenings.
I conclude my health care week on Monday – doctor’s appointments every day last week. The wound in my foot is healing nicely; tomorrow, it’s the annual optometrist visit to see if I need any lens changes.
That will take a few hours, I was warned.
And I’m healing nicely also.
We had a lovely weekend, the highlight being the Leonard Cohen documentary and some terrific books to read. I’m on a reading roll.
I’ve got to get up before dawn on Monday to get to the optometrist and get my pupils dilated again, but I don’t think I’ll have any trouble driving home in daylight.
I’m returning to the Mansion on Tuesday for my meditation class and going to Bishop Gibbons on Thursday to meet with Killian, the 11th grader I’m mentoring in creative writing. He says he will show me what he’s written in his short story so far. It’s a horror story, he says.
I’m expecting to debut my “Talk To Me” Zoom experiment on Wednesday morning. I’m eager to see how that works out. I hope people sign up, and I hope they bring me some questions.
I’m going to visit one of Sue’s art classes on Thursday to write about their remarkable projects. Maria is coming to teach some sewing and fiber work.
I’ve got a whole bunch of appointments and chores to do all through the rest of the week.
I’m happy to be getting back to my whole life. I missed it.
