Fall is showing itself in its beautiful way, and I wanted to capture some images of Fall this afternoon. One is the Dahlia flower above; it just blossomed the other day. Dahlia’s are late bloomers; they last well into Autumn. We have plenty of color left, and autumn will present its own opportunities.
The apple tree is a beautiful harbinger of fall; we sat and watched the leaves fall; we needed sweaters to sit out in the friendship chairs; this was the first night fantastic enough for that in three months. We’re splitting the day tomorrow; we’re working half the day and taking a holiday together for half the day.
We have nothing planned.
The Nasturtiums were a rescue, they are loyal and brave and tough flowers. People keep telling me I could eat them, but I couldn’t bear to eat them, they are the memorial flowers for the children killed in their schools. These flowers just keep coming.
