Since we’ve had fate, we have never seen her share a dog bed with another dog. At least not until last night. It was a bit chilly for the first time in months, and Bud was snoring away in the bed we got for Zinnia, which she never uses.

Suddenly, Fate got up, crawled next to Bud, butt to butt, and both went to sleep. It was a first for Fate, who’s not into sharing things with the other dogs. I don’t know if we will ever see it again. Maybe it signals a massive change in Fate, or maybe it will never happen again.

Fate definitely has a sweet side, usually reserved for sheep and strangers.

It was nice to see her sharing a bed with Bud. I wonder if he noticed.
