The great thing about the Army Of Good, apart from the obvious, is that every day it reminds me of how many good people there are out there who are eager to do good. Monica is one of them. They brighten every day of my life.
The art project donations are from Milwaukee to Los Angeles, to name a few.
There are too many people for me to name, but thank you, thank you. The Army of Good is stronger than ever. The more I learn about Bishop Gibbons, the more I love it. It offers the very best of Bishop Maginn but with more of everything – teachers, class offerings, space, and dynamic leadership.
Monica from New York read on the blog that Sue is collecting all kinds of lost objects for her wind chime art project at Bishop Gibbons High School, where Sue ([email protected]) Silverstein and her refugees have taken happy refuge.
Sue plans to use the found metal objects to teach the students how to make wind chimes for themselves and their families. The students will also make some for people who love wind chimes but can’t afford them.
The new art program isn’t just for Sue’s s students; she’s opened the project up to any teachers in the school who want to use it. Several have already said they’d love to. This is a whole new way of teaching art, and Sue, a devout Catholic and devoted teacher is also an artist who has sold a number of her beautiful paintings.
She knows how to think outside the box.
A huge fabric box arrived from Milwaukee for quilts, clothes, and other projects. Sue and Maria will romp with it. People nearby in Albany and from Rochester and Schenectady have brought metal objects to the school or shipped them.
These creative donations are coming from all over the country.
People are good, given the opportunity. I’ll be there tomorrow.

Oh yes! This is one of the best things about the blog. It reminds me too of how many good people are out there quietly doing good things and showing kindness and compassion. Blessings to you and Maria for all the many good things you two are doing and for pointing out ways your readers can do good also.
