The farm has never looked better; the apple tree is green and beautiful, the flower beds and gardens offer color, and some rain has turned the grass green again.

It is a beautiful thing to see donkeys and sheep in the background. Living with animals has brought benefits beyond my imagination; they are calming, grounding, and humanizing.

Caring for them keeps compassion alive, and empathy is essential. We are better for them. It takes us out of our human silliness, greed, and anger. Animals do not hate or lie, ever.
