Lulu and Fanny were adamant and ticked off this morning; I went into the pasture to take a picture of the sheep and ignored them. They weren’t haven’t it.
Fanny came over and gave me a nudge in the rear that almost sent me into the fence, and Lulu came over and bumped me from the other side. Teamwork.
Attention is not optional.
I brushed their butts, got out the wet cloth, cleaned their ears, and gave each of them a big chunk of alfalfa to chew on. That seemed to soothe and satisfy them.
Nobody gets more attention out there than they do, divas both.
I apologized and then scratched their necks. These two have had my number from the beginning.
I was warned but forgiven. Donkeys are proud and independent creatures, they take no guff from humans, but they love and need attention.
And when they want it, they get it. Or else.
How can you possibly ignore those sweet little faces? 🙂 🙂 ? ?
I can’t…
Good Boy, Jon.
Donkeys must be smarter than horses?
Don’t know, Don..
I, too, have donkeys. That push in the butt and the donkey hug are real. When they want attention, they get it.
