I planted a new garden bed with primrose and poppy seeds a few weeks ago. I think I planted them too late. Neither one is growing there; I’m learning that some seeds grow in summer, and some don’t.
At a farmer’s market and vegetable stand, I found some tall and beautiful flowers – I think they are some kind of rose. I planted one (above left) and am planting the other two tonight alongside the first, along with some petunias, already rooted and grown.
My goal is to have flowers right through to November.
The name of this flower is lisianthus. It is long lasting as a cut flower.
Yes, thanks, you are correct, there was a tag on the bottom that I missed, I appreciated the correction, beautiful flowers I got two more.
The poppy and primrose need a period of cold weather to break domanacy. Plant the seeds in the fall or very early spring as soon as you can work the soil
