First Flowers. My Garden Beds Are Coming To Life. The Yellow One, The Blue One

by Jon Katz

My raised garden beds are starting to stir. My Nasturtium Memorial Garden has a bunch of new buds.

I don’t know what these beautiful yellow plants are, I know people told me a while ago, but my Dyslexia makes it difficult for me to remember things like that.

I just call them by their color. This is the yellow flowers coming up and in front of them are the blue ones, below. Honestly, I can’t help it, I just can’t remember the real names of flowers, I only know them by colors.

The new ones are beautiful and the best is yet to come.

I love these gardens, they were one of the best ideas Maria ever had, I fuss over them like a new momma and trip and deadhead and pick out the weeds. The Nasturtium is slowly but surely coming to life.

It will be such fun for me to be taking these photos all summer and know that I planted these flowers, bulbs, and seeds. That is a new feeling for me, and I appreciate it.
