I took a lot more photos than I have time or space to post, but there are eight or nine more I wanted to share today before the joy and warmth of the last Bishop Maginn Prom fades.
The school has already been sold and after graduation, will cease to exist as Bishop Maginn.
The prom was about people to me, even though it had a fun “Casino Night” theme with all sorts of favors, games, and candy.
What I found most touching was how the students dressed, how much they loved posting, and how the alumni came back to say goodbye and bring their children to see Sue Silverstein again and to catch up with one another.
It was a special evening, thanks in great part to the Army Of Good. I’m so glad we did this.
I’m off to Saratoga to see a doctor. I’ll be back this afternoon. Later.
Here are some more photos:
It was lovely to see the mothers bring their babies to see their school for the last time.
Sue Silverstein and Zinnia are a team at Bishop Maginn. Sue is her Godmother, she says.
Sue and I have become dear friends, we love each other and work so well together. I am looking forward to continuing this work. Yesterday, she needed a shoulder massage.
The reunions were very special, there was often a toddler there.
The red carpet did its job, filled with style and beauty. Shy girls really came out there.
A chance to dress up and show off some gowns
The Prom Committee worked hard to offer favors, fun eyeglasses, chocolate cookies, and teddy bears.
Zinnia was the official Red Carpet greeter. She did well. It is such a gift to be able to work with these remarkable dogs who can do this therapy work.
What lovely photos!
