Friends, I wanted to let you know that the blog is down and will be unavailable until late tonight or early tomorrow morning.
This will also apply to Maria’s blog. The problem is the server, which is being replaced or repaired tonight and will require shutting the blog down completely.
The trouble started this morning and will be dealt with this evening, causing the least possible disruption.
Thanks for your patience; this work will make it easier for me to post and publish my texts and photos, Maria also.
I can’t upload photos now, so this message is like the early days, all text. Years ago, I paid Pete, a friend and farmer, to take pictures of the animals for me, and I noticed he just hung his camera over his chest and fired from there.
Pete was an excellent photographer, but I thought I could probably do that for free. That changed my life.
Anyway, this is a good night for this to happen, as I have been resting quietly most of the day and writing posts and storing them for later. And sleeping.
The rain kept me inside. I got to get a lot of office work done.
The blog is very important to me, as it is to some of you, and I want to keep it in the best possible shape. It gets a lot of traffic these days.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about healing. I am putting together a bunch of new plans for getting well going, one of them – an energy meditation with a professional massage therapist – is happening tomorrow afternoon.
Another is my care understand with Maria, which I want to go over with the two of us, and make sure she is okay with the arrangements. I want to make sure I keep all of my promises to her, she got badly frightened last week.
I’ll share the rest when I post the next Recovery Journal, hopefully in the morning.
One day at a time. Quiet, Rest, Peace. No drama, noise or racing around.
I thank you for your enduring support and generosity. The Army Of Good rules, and it looks like I’ll make the Bishop Maginn High School Prom on Saturday.
Zinnia will be leading the walk down the red carpet with Sue Silverstein, two strong and generous women.

Note: Some people are under the impression that their donations or paid subscriptions are linked to the free delivery of the blog every morning to their mailboxes. They are not.
The blog is free to anyone, subscriber or donor or not. Money has nothing to do with it. Anyone can subscribe by entering their e-mails at the bottom of the daily blog page. Sometimes – this is America, 2020 -subscripitons are canceled for no apparent reason.
This is a software problem, nothing we do on this end. It has nothing to do with money.
The blog has always been free and will always be free. Donations are voluntary.
We can help and w ill when it happens. If you have a problem, e-mail me at [email protected]. I’ll send it along to the techs who rule our world and they will fix it, if it is at all possible. Sometimes, it has to do with your software, not ours, but it can happen and does happen. Usually we can fix it quickly. This service is free (not to me, but to you.) Thanks for caring.
Have a peaceful and restful evening. Back soon. I don’t quite feel whole without the blog.
Glad you are resting and will be able to go to the Prom! Thank you for the updates!
“An energy meditation with a massage therapist.” That sounds very interesting.
