I got a Boo Boo Bear in the email today from who else? – Sue Silverstein and Bishop Maginn High School.

Today was the school’s last formal day of existence, and I’m sorry I couldn’t be there as planned. I will be able to make the prom on Friday, with Zinnia leading the Red Carpet Parade to kick off this very special prom, much of which will be held inside a tent rented and set up in the school gym.

Sue Silverstein will be walking her down the carpet, which perfectly fits me. I won’t be there for long, but I am so glad I will be able to be there at all.

Sue is my best friend.

Sue and the refugee kids and the school have become very precious to me, and I needed to be there. A morning full of tests, etc. I’ll write about it this evening when Maria goes to belly dancing class.

I have some work to catch up on.
