Watching animals graze is a meditation to me, the animals know me well now, we sort of grew up together. I can walk right up to them and rub or scratch them while they eat.
This is calming for me, I look at the news briefly, I am often torn between the desire to get away from it, and the moral demand not to run from it.
I saw the donkeys and two sheep out grazing in our South pasture right under my winder and grabbed my camera and walked out there. I took this photo and then just watched them, I learn so much from them and the way we live.
Whatever made us think we are superior to them?
