The ladies in the Mansion Memory Care Garden Club were eager to be photographed together yesterday in between planning and plotting their 2022 garden.
They are an impressive group (and to a one, are dog and animal lovers. Zinnia had a blast, she is an honorary member.)
They are standing right on the spot where Activities Director Paryese, masked in the background, thinks their new raised garden bed ought to go. The others are Ellen, Lori, and Ann.
Paryese suggested this, and I jumped in and offered to get them.
I’m planning on going to pick them up at Country Products this afternoon. I’ve decided to get one large one, along with eight tomato cages and two bags of raised bed soil (thin.)
If this one works, I’ll get one or two more (Thanks for your donations, I’m almost there: via Paypal, [email protected], via Venmo Jon-Katz@Jon-Katz-13 or by check, Mansion Fund, Jon Katz, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816.
I’m hoping to pick up the bed or beds and other needed garden supplies and get them there over Memorial Day Weekend.
It is a great gift to the Memory Care residents, they get to go outside and with the raised beds, they’ll be able to care for their flowers and plants without having to kneel or sit down on the ground.
I love the garden club, they are cheerful, gentle, and committed to their garden.
