It seemed selfish to me to post my favorite photos over two days, but I think it’s essential. It gives me an overview of my work which is helpful. I hope it is helpful to some of you.
Thanks for the very enthusiastic response to yesterday’s 12 photographs. I think it’s healthy and exciting for me to see what moves me and touches me. Every photographer is different and has their style.
There is a bittersweet quality to this for me. This is a record of my life, gain, and loss, good and bad, lessons and pain. Also, much love and opportunity to grow. No complaints, but it is unsettling to look back on it emotionally.
I record almost all of the crucial moments of my life in pictures; that, to me, is the challenge of being open. It also hurts sometimes to look back. I can’t change the past or predict the future.
All I can do is live right now to the best of my ability. A lot of these photos make me smile, but a lot of them hurt. That’s life, right? At least I recorded the ups and downs honestly and openly.
What touches me may not connect you; I am close to everything. I’m proud of my work; I feel I am making progress. I have much more work to do, and I look forward to it.
As with yesterday, I’m letting the photos speak for themselves; I just title them but am not explaining them. I leave that to the people who look at them. Your response is as good as mine.
You are invited to come along for a short and visual tour of my recent life. I went farther back than Spring, but my heart kept fluttering. What an exciting year I have had. I need some space to think about it.

I love all of these photos but am especially drawn to the one of you and Tina and the story it tells.
I do miss Tina..
One thing all your photos share is they are honest, I can feel the moment.
Such a wonderful collection. That barn raising one is just amazing! Thanks for sharing, and have a good day – stay cool. 90s here in CT again…for one more day!
What all the photos have in common is you can feel they each have a story to tell and that gifts them with a depth beyond being an excellent photograph. And the story is yours to tell.
