I rarely go into Maria’s Studio, we both live and work in the same area, so we respect each other’s boundaries. My study is my safe place, her studio is hers.
Quite often on Fridays, she invites me in to see something she has made and likes. I call it Friday magic, I very much like seeing what she is working on, I rarely see her art until it is finished.
I asked if I could photograph the quilt, and she said sure.
She finished this quilt yesterday. It is sold already, even before it went on sale. I think it is one of the most beautiful quilts she has made.
