Taking A Break: Dog In The Window

by Jon Katz

We both worked for hours in the very hot sun today in our gardens. Maria did the heavy work of digging and putting up fences to keep cats and chickens away.

The sun wore me down, I took a mid-afternoon nap and then headed out to do some chores. I planted seeds and bulbs in the garden beds.

Maria took a break, unusual for her, but the temperature was in the 80’s.

Tomorrow  I’m going to the gym, shopping and taking my Leica lesson with Donald online at noon. I’ll learn more about the used Leica 2 that’s for sale. I’ll be writing and taking some photos. I’m very happy with the bulbs and seeds I put into the garden bed today.

I’m expecting some beautiful flowers this summer. The gladiolas are popping up after just one week.

We are expecting rain tomorrow and severe storms on Monday. Tonight, reading a mystery, watching a British spy show, and going to sleep. I’m bushed.

The one with the waggly tail?
How much is that doggie in the window?
I do hope that doggie’s for sale.”
