Maria set out with 300 feet of chicken/turkey fencing with two-inch squares, too small for a sheep to stick their head in. She’s planning to wire and stape the fencing to the posts and trees in place. She expects to finish by dusk.
Zinnia and Fate came with her, but Fate is a poor companion. She just sits by the fence and stares at the sheep. Zinna swims in the pond, wades in the swamp, and keeps Maria company.
I gave Zinnia strict instructions to keep an eye on Maria; I’ll take photos (after I go to the gym) and bring food and water.
Maria loves being out there; it’s sunny and warm. She would be happy living in a tent in the summer.
The fencing is sturdy and covers the weak spots. The sheep won’t challenge it. Where they get into trouble is when they can stick their heads through. Maria knows her stuff.
Maria has a beautiful view of Bedlam Farm up there on that hill. Fate is challenging me to bring her to the sheep. I told her she wasn’t going anywhere.
