I was surprised to see this clock in the motel where we stayed during our vacation last week. I just loved it. I have become a huge fan of having as many bright and colorful things around me and the farmhouse as possible.

Color and light is my antidote against hatred and fear.

My moods are much tight to the light, and to the colors I see.

This design seemed so bright and aesthetically smart to me.

I saw on the back that the light was made by a company called La Cross and I tracked it down online and bought a clock. It arrived yesterday and even I could put it together quickly.

I’m not sure why, but I smile every time I see it.

It’s practical – it tells the time, gives the date and the room temperature – but the design really caught me. Most desk clocks are dull. I was surprised to see so bright and smart a clock on a motel room table next to our bed.

Good on them. Whoever designed this knew his or her stuff.
