My friend John Rieger, the owner of Country Power, urged me to plant some onions in my raised flower beds. They are, he said, great companions for flowers.
They get the soil ready for planting with their deep and aerating roots, and they can go into the ground early; they are hardy and tough.
It’s great to see them out there; they wasted no time growing and planting roots. It’s exciting to have things growing out there.
