Memory Care, The Mansion: Doing Good Each Day. Making Their Own Flowers

I think of it as the good for the day. Every day, I am committed to doing at least one small act of great kindness. It is a discipline; it is selfish; it grounds me and sustains me.

I need to do some good every day, from speaking kindly to a postal clerk or nurse to helping the Mansion or the refugee children. This has kept me grounded in these tense times.

I call it flower therapy. In a few weeks, I will be handing out flowers all over.

We got plans and potting soul and containers so the residents in Memory Car can plant their seeds, care for them and watch them grow, and produce their flowers and plants for their rooms and dining room tables.

This is an excellent gift for them.

And they love it. Thanks for helping to make it happen. Bringing living things into the world and nourishing and loving them is lovely medicine, something people never seem to forget.
