Fate sometimes acts like a tough kick-ass border collie, but she is a softie.

She won’t push the sheep around or herd them, and when Maria speeds some food out for the chickens, Fate sits patiently by until the chickens are done and then sniffs for their leavings.

She has a big soft heart. She has never harmed or threatened another animal, not even the barn cats. She does growl at Zinnia once in a while, if she’s eating on a bone.
