A month ago, I bought two masks at an art show in town where Anne Dombrowski showed her wonderful, magical, and much-loved masks. She has worn them in town parades and made some for other people. Maria loved her cat mask, and I loved her bird mask. I bought them both, I meant to surprise Maria, but she figured out what I was doing instantly, of course.
Today, she brought them over to the farmhouse, which will instantly enrich our home. We needed some colorful and original new art, and Anne’s show came at just the right time.
Maria is trying to figure out where to hang hers above, and I hung mine on my study wall, where I can look up and see it any time I want. I think it speaks to me and has magical powers. There is a pagan inside there somewhere, and Anne freed him up.
Anne is a much-loved friend and a gifted artist; her mask show was a great success; she sold at least five of her masks right away.
We are fortunate to have two of them.
