The Mansion plans to celebrate the ’50s and 60’s with a show, music, and dance in May. They’ve asked me to help them find vintage clothes from the ’60s and, if possible, the 50s.
I’ve had some luck finding some clothes from the 60’s, a little from the ’50s. Thanks to Beverly Carroll at Caroll’s Trading Post, I got 10 or 12 dresses and pants from that era, but I’m having trouble finding more.
Clothes from that era are considered vintage and are rare and expensive. I wonder if anyone from the Army of Good has clothes from that period, especially the 60s and ’60s.
If they are clean and in good shape, it would be helpful to send some to the Mansion. This sounds like a fun event.
But I’m stumped, none of my usual sources can help me.
You can mail the clothes to Tania Woodward, The Mansion, 11 S. Union Avenue, Cambridge, N.Y., 1286.
Please make sure they are in good shape if you have any to send and want to help out, and thanks so much. I don’t recall running into a headwind like this in a while.
I can find some old clothes, but they are expensive, more than I am comfortable spending with other people’s money. Thanks for any help.
