I was at the Mansion this morning to do my weekly profile photo and a brief bio of the residents. I met with Peggy, I’ll write about it this afternoon.
While I was there, William came up to thank me (and you) for the winter boots we got him so he can go outside for a walk. There is still a lot of snow and ice on the ground.
William injured his spine in a fall before coming to the Mansion, it is critical that he walks as often as he can.
Since he got the boots, the aides say, he has been out walking several times a day. Thanks as always to the Army Of Good. Small acts of kindness make a huge difference to the Mansion residents.
“This is great, Jon,” he told me this morning, “now I can walk outside whenever I want.”
Russell needs jeans, shoes, and boxer shorts. On the way.
