One of the most loved gifts ever sent to the Mansion residents came about a year ago, when Joann Fritsche, who lives in Hammonton, N.J.. sent some crocheted lap robes to the residents.
She wrote and asked if she could send some more this year, and I jumped at it; I saw them all winter warming laps.
“I know that the residents will give my crocheted creations good homes,” Joanne writes. “Thank you and Maria for allowing us readers to come among us on the journey!”
The thanks go to you, Joanne, and so many others out there; you are what makes it possible and so worthwhile and joyous. You do beautiful work.
I wish you could see their faces when they put them on their laps. I’ll try to get a photograph.
what a stunning gift box! here’s to the army of good…and joann’s busy fingers. well done.
What a lovely gift, and what a lovely person to donate her hard work. This post made me smile.
