I like black and white photos in a storm since there is no color, really, and the Leica does an excellent job with black and white contrasts.
The truck came into the scene suddenly, and I caught it by accident, but it made the photo. I’m just catching up with my storm photos
I’m a city boy, but I’ve been through a score of upstate New York winters, and I love them and have learned how to handle them.
But the big ones make me nervous. They don’t faze the locals at all; all kinds of cars went sailing by in the whiteout we had over the weekend, many with no snow tires or four-wheel drives.
The true locals pay no attention to the storms that make the Weather Channel hysterical (and greedy.) If they have work, they get to it. If they need groceries, they go out to the supermarket.
Maria is like this; she pays little attention to the weather or storms. The truck was just what the picture needed.
6-12 inches of snow for Friday
