I call Zinnia “The Snow Dog” she loves snow and ice so much she runs in it, rolls in it, dances in it. A couple of days ago, we were hit with a sudden and unexpected white-out, heavy snow whipped by heavy winds.
One minute Zinnia was right in front of me; the next, she had vanished into the snow. I had to look through the camera viewfinder to spot her just a few feet away, but she was ghostly and nearly invisible.
I just found this photo this morning, and it gives me the shivers. Today it was over 50 degrees, and the ice was melting. We are expecting two more storms in the coming week.
The weather is getting stranger and stranger. Zinnia is having a blast.
Ghost Dog.
